General Procedures for Sample Submission and Collection of Reports:

  • Working hours from Monday to Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with break in the afternoon from 1-30 to 2 p.m. except for the govt. Holidays, 2nd and 3rd saturdays.
  • Sample will be submitted through the office of the Attached Officer during first half of the day from Monday to Friday.
  • The sample should be properly labelled.
  • The sample should be submitted in Glass or plastic food grade containers/bags.
  • The following quantities constitute a sample, unless otherwise specified for the plant material concerned.

Information on nature of sample, constituents, Boiling points, Melting Points, solubility, Identification/Quantification of the component will be possible only if reference compound is available in the lab stock. 

HPLC-UV/VIS

Information on nature of sample, constituents, Boiling points, Melting Points, solubility, In case of Plant samples, only whole fresh/dry samples will be acceptable. Plant powders, extracts or crude drugs will not be accepted in any case. Identification/Quantification of the component will be possible only if reference compound is available in the lab stock. 

UV-VIS Spectrophotometer

Commodities: 48 hours after submission of the sample from 4-30 to 5.30 PM.
